Our fees

The Cabinet Langrais establishes its fees transparently with its clients, depending on the nature and difficulty of the case.

From the first appointment and after preliminary study of the file, the firm may offer the client a choice between several billing formulas, focusing on promoting the form of fees most advantageous for the client.

A fee agreement will be established between the firm Frank Langrais and the client in order to materialize the service offered by the firm as well as its method of remuneration, the form of which may be:

Fees based on time spent:

Fees will be based on the number of hours spent by the firm handling the case. The amount of the fees will therefore depend on both the time spent and the hourly rate (which depends in particular on the nature of the tasks to be performed).

Flat Fees:

In this case, a fixed amount is paid for the whole procedure. This fee setting system is particularly suited to cases where the law firm is able to estimate in advance the time required to process the file.

Contingency fees.

The performance fee is based on a result, that is, on the gain or benefit to the client. It is a supplement of remuneration which is added to hourly fees or the flat fee but which can not be the only mode of remuneration. A performance fee is of course due only in the case where the client and the lawyer have previously agreed to it by a written agreement.

Legal insurance: if you have legal  insurance as part of an insurance contract, the fees may be covered, in part or in full, by your insurance company.

Compensation and reimbursement of fees: the Code of Civil Procedure (Article 700) and the Code of Criminal Procedure (Article 475-1) provide for the possibility for a court to order the other party to reimburse you partially or in full for the fees and expenses incurred in court proceedings.
